$dotat: buildworld/patches.src/README,v 1.2 2001/12/17 11:50:54 fanf Exp $ This directory contains patches for the core of FreeBSD that can be applied to the source by my automated buildworld script after it has retrieved the upstream changes. When checked out of CVS all the patches are disabled; to enable a patch either rename it to remove the ".disabled" suffix or make an appropriate symbolic link. The patches are applied in numerical and then alphabetical order, so a set of patches that must be applied one after the other can be accommodated. A patch's usefulness is roughly inversely proportional to its number; patches beginning with 0 are generally useful, wheras patches beginning with 9 are probably broken. The patches usually have some notes at the start explaining what they are for, if it isn't obvious.
