Traffic brought to a standstill at Oxford Circus as thousands join road safety protest

Protest crowd: Hundreds of people blocked off Oxford Circus today
Asher McShane15 November 2014

Oxford street was crowded with protesters today who demanded London's roads were 'made fit for humans once again.'

Hundreds gathered among crowds of Christmas shoppers to launch the protest aimed at making London's roads safer.

The 'Stop The Killing' Campaigners want to make roads safer for children by abolishing rat-runs, pedestrianise town centres - including Oxford Street, and bring 20mph speed limits to all urban roads.
